Finished at last. The DML Pak 40 late. New bolts, inside rib detail on the shield, and tool clamps, light etc. Comments welcome.

Nicely done, will it be repositioned behind a 251?...

Thanks Todd & Frank. It will be getting towed in a dio I'm working on.

Those 'legs' as you call them can be closed. By the way...they're called gun trails.

Alright you two, we know they're called trails (I think) so let it go!

Ciao Vinnie,
It looks superb, my friend. Great balance of grime and wear. The thing looks real! One question. It appears that you didn't install those two small rods and plate in the return tray (the thing the gun breech runs back on. Am I right or wrong? I didn't know what they were, anyway. (I hate that they no longer mark what the parts names really are in kits anymore.) It really does look outstanding. Congrats, sir.

I know what you mean Rob, and they're there, but they slide with the gun, as the end of that device should be fixed to the underneath of the breech block, so in effect only the end plate would be visible, no matter where the breech was positioned on the slide. If you build the gun as per instructions, it's incorrect, as they would then be visible.

This kind of knowledge scares me....

Very nice job too - I have one here from DML (the winter fallschrim. + pak kit) I have been eyeing off. Any comments on the build ? Simple straightforward job?

Ciao Vinnie,
I know what you mean now, but I hadn't a clue at the time I built it. Dang, if I had known that I wouldn't have bothered fiddling with those things in the first place!!

Ciao AndyD,
I highly recommend the kit! It builds really well, and the molding is great. Vinnie went a step further and put more photoetch to make it even better. Some of the subassemblies are more like surgery than modeling (I have big fingers), but it goes together great. The figures are good, too (although they are simply figures gleaned from other kits.)

Andy, agree with Rob. Lovely kit, goes together really nicely, choice of 3 types of wheel, and 3 muzzle brakes. Really useful as well, for putting behind other vehicles in dio's.

I know what you mean!

But I guess when you’re such a talented modeller as Teacher you get that good by knowing your subject inside out.

Like all of your work I’ve seen on this site it’s simply stunning!!

Your modelling and reviews on here have taught me so much. Thanks

Keep up the amazing work

Nice Job Teacher, I really like your color combinations. Those guns instilled horror and the way that you have yours painted sure depicts that to me, there's just something about it. Terrifying!

I'm glad that I have not missed this post. Well spotted, Rob! Those rods and plate took me some time to fix. I hope it is not too late to corect it. Lucky enough I have not painted the gun yet.

Thanks, Teacher.

Ciao Don,
Vinnie was saying that they would entirely hidden under the gun breech, anyway. You might want to think twice about installing them. The only, and I mean only complaint I would have is that the plate bolts don't go all the way through the two shields. The bolts are there, but the bolts (or lack thereof) are noticeable between the spaced shields.
