I have the early KV-1 Tamiya kit, the plain one, not the KV-1C or E or nada
(are there better kits..yep..but for the first one back to the fold, i'll mess up a $3.00 Ebayer one before a nice expensive one )

so what I'm asking...to be kinda sorta historically accurate, this model will be the time period of the Finnish WInter War of NOv 39 through mid-41 and early Barbarosa...right?

sorry..every reference on the KV i find shows damaged or out of action ones and can't really find a definative date on the pics

Um, well, I honestly don't know whether it would be, I can check when I'm more rested, but I do know that the KV-II was used in the Finnish War ( I think.... ) I hope this helps, and thanks for your time.

I'm pretty sure that it would be correct. I believe Tamiya's is the smaller turret version, while Trumpeter released 2 versions of this tank.
