I'm starting a new project and am looking for the colour scheme for the BATUS Challenger 2 ( are/where they always in the sand and green colour scheme?)
Are the BATUS Challengers always without the uparmour refit? Are there examples with the refit?
Thanks in advance

Peter
As far as I know the Chally II's at BATUS are in the usual green/sand scheme, also they are just standard vehicles without addon armour.

Thanks in advance

Peter, I don't know the names and numbers of the actual colours but I use Humbrol #75 for the green and #93 for the sand.

HI

I found that Tamiya desert yellow and OD are a good match.

I have to disagree there,

While desert yellow is close enough, OD is far too dark. try mixing a little OD into Tamiya NATO green.

Also the green/sand scheme is used extensively in the UK for OPFOR vehicles on exercise.

I have been looking around a couple of model shops in the area and have not found a Tamiya 'NATO Green' yet. Not even an empty space in the rack. Would you have a number for the 'NATO Green'?

NATO green is a fairly recent addition to their range, i think they introduced it about the same time as their leopard 2.

on its own it is too bright for a British vehicle, but looks well when toned down with OD.

try the tamiya website for the number,

I was told that Humbrol 155 for the green and Xtra Colour X813 for the sand.

Peter, if you need the decals for a BATUS vehicle I have them from the first Trump. kit if you want them.
