Wanted to share these pics I took of my mast vinette, which looks like a pretty realistic scene. Hard to tell if it's the real thing or not. At least I think so.

Nice Job! Did you have something to do with these masts in the military? The subject matter isn't a very popular one this is why I ask.

Excellent Charles. Using the sun setting as a background really adds life to the scene. Nice one.

It woud seem so, wouldn't it? Well unfortunately I don't have anything to do with the military. I just love doing these not so common projects. It's different and not everybody does it, that's why I do it.
I just browse the net looking for something to inspire me and then I go to work on it. :-)
Frank, thanks. I thought it would add a little bit of realism to the whole scene too.

I was convinced the first picture was real. That's amazing, and a very unusual subject.

Hi there Charles
It looks really nice and realistic with the sunlight and very unusual!
Though i noticed that the trees are a little empty!
Maybe some more branches would do the trick!!
Overall very nice work!!!
Cheers!!

Thanks all. Liked the idea you all had been fool by the first pic. It fooled me too when I first took the pics and viewed it for the first time. :-)

It looks real, so how did you do it? Was it just a well positioned and timed photo, or is it a Photoshop job?

Yep , a very different subject, but I noticed the extremely hairy support lines. Try running them thru a candle to eliminate the fuzzi-ness or better yet, substitute them with fishing line. Looks pretty good though. "Q"

Thanks for the comments and advice everyone. I had planned to change out the line with a fishing line of some sort a long time ago but couldn't bring myself to toching the vinette I will though when I decide to.
The photo was just placed at the right time at the right position to achieve the effect I wanted. no photoshop gimmicks here. :-)

Very nice modelling and photography!
The only thing IŽd improve is the way the trees "end" on their tops.
I think they need far more branches up there as well as some smaller, dead branches on the lower parts of the trunks.
But thats pretty much everything that cayn be improved in some way
Greetings, ekke

Thanks for your comments. Actually the trees I modeled are modeled after some that I had seen here in Sweden. So you are probably used to seeing fully fleged pine at your end but I came across some young ones on this end that pretty much didn't bare much braches. So they are right the way I modelled them
