Finished this afternoon. Tamiyas 1:35 scale kit, built OOB. Comments and suggestions welcome. Sorry for the poor pictures, I'm still getting the hang of digital photography.

And with figure (my first) on a base I knocked together a while ago.

Dave
Looks great To me,although it may just be the pics,it looks a bit shiny Especially the figure On the metal part of the shovel it looks to bright
I use Humbrol gunmetal for the metal portions of the tools I have always found the steel color paint too bright That's just my opinion though

Thanks for the comments. It is a bit shiny, but not as much as the pics make out. I see what you mean about the shovel, I never really noticed that before. Thanks.

Were you using silver or metal paint to show weathering on the armored engine deck covers? If so, you may want to consider using dark brown or black-brown in the future as the armored parts, if there was chipping or scratching, would oxidize almost immediately. Look here for some good pointers:

It was silver paint, but thanks for the pointers. I've bookmarked that site.

Dave, I am curious about the quality of the Tamiya Greyhound kit. I'm just completing the Italeri Greyhound as we speak, and the parts on the Italeri all have the little molding line, some sink holes, -- with some of the parts looking chunky.

How was part fit/quality on this one?

Steve

It was a very good kit, certainly one of Tamiyas better ones. The only problems I had were the front left wheel guard didn't quite align properly, but that was probably my error. Also, I couldn't get the two back parts of the gun breech to line up, again probably my error.
