For those who use MM paints I was wondering if you could tell me the colours or bottle numbers that you use for the following:

- German Grey (Tiger 1 Initial/Early)
- Red Brown
- Dark/Olive Green
- Dark Yellow

With model Master, you need only look at the colors on the display rack. The RLM number is listed as well as the color name in the native language. Dunklegrau, Rotbrun, Dunklegrun, Dunklegelb. are the colors you want in the order you named them.

I realize the paints are on the rack and they are RAL not RLM. Any how, what I was asking is what others use that use MM paints.

The Panzer colours recommended on the rack are Dunkelgelb, Oivgrun and Schokoladenbraun. But the Olivgrun looks too light of a green and the Schokoladenbraun looks way to dark brown. I thought about the RAL 8002 Signalbraun, but it looks to light and pink.

So I was posting the question for help and to see maybe what other MM colours people have tried.

I use the MM Acryl and don't have the bottles in front of me so I can't help with the numbers. It is very important to remember that the color in the bottle on the rack has almost nothing to do with what the paint will look like on the kit. For instance, the Acryl olive drab looks pale yellow in the bottle. But, after you stir it up well and shoot it onto a model it looks like, well, olive drab...

Greetings,Michal!
I use MM paints quite a bit, I like the way that they perform and are easily available in my area, and to this date every color that I have used are true to form...just be careful if you're trying to cross reference a different manufacturer(ie:Tamiya) with a MM color, as one's OD is not the same as another's OD...I'm at work right now but when I get home this evening I'll see what I have in the paint chest and try to help you out...

Thanks Keenan. I pulled out my stock of MM paint and fooled around a bit. So far the best 3 tone german scheme I came up with that looks pretty good compared to photos of other modelers builds:

- MM Panzer Dunkelgelb
- MM Dark Green (B-52)
- MM Italian Brown (sprays and dries red/brown)

MM Itialian Olive Green looked nice also, just not dark enough for my eye. I added a little white to the Dunkelgelb as it is kind of yellow/green.
