Welcome to the Big A, the best site for modeling anywhere in the world! You'll find this is the best resource on the net. Everyone here is out to help the other guy.
When you paint is really up to you. Some like to paint as they build or and some prefer when finished building. You can try it both ways if you want, see what's easier and better for you.
Personally, I usually paint after building is almost completed and do any other weathering &/or finishes after all the final parts are put added.

Hi Adrian welcome to the Big A

My advice is to look through the features forum, there are some great articles on "how to "
Also if someone posts pics of something you like, ask how they achieved that look or effect , dont be afraid. Ive found on this site they are great bunch of guys/gals and are allways willing to pass on advice and tips

With regards to building your panzer , its purely personal preference. Some people start painting individual sub sections , others finish there build completely then paint. Personally , i get to about 90% finished (depending on the particular subject).

Ive learnt more on here in the last few months than years of modelling on my own.

Welcome to the Big A, Adrian. Like the rest have mentioned, there are tons of articles on How Tos up here on the site so definitely do check those out.

I typically construct as much as i can before painting but this is something of a personal preference. Some of the good modellers here paint them while they are on the sprue while others paint it when completed so its really what works for you.

If $$ permit, i definitely recommend getting an airbrush.

Adrian -

Welcome to Armorama. Great kit to start on. "Moezilla" is absolutely right. Jump right in and put yourself out there. The "talent pool" here is extensive and extremely helpful and supportive. Best way is to post your work as "In progress", then you get tips on what to improve and do next. Slower approach, but can save some grief and "pitfalls" before they occur. Enjoy and anxious to see your progress,
