I have been working on a 155mm based on the Bandai 1/48 which turns out to need lots of corrections. One area is the trails, which seem a bit short. Working from photos I lengthened them to match an old Aurora 1/48 kit, but I am now wondering if my dimensions are off. Does anyone have access to scale plans?

If not, does anyone have a good 1/35 kit and would they be willing to measure and give me the overall length of the trails in actuall mm - the dimension I am wondering about is the distance between the center of the hinge pin and the extreeme end of the trail.

Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.

Dereck:

Based on my calcualtions 136.5 mm in 1/35 is 99.5 mm in 1/48. The old Aurora parts were 100mm long between the center of the hinge pin and the extreem end, and my streched Bandai trails cannot be over 101mm (they are installed, so measurement is a bit inexact).

Close enough.

Whew, off top dead center on that project.

Thanks again,

Konrad
