What's your oppinion on the tree? Should I add some smaller branches in preparation for it accepting leaves?
Thinking an autum tree with the sniper in SS oakleaf.
still have a lot to do on the figure...lotta gap filling.

Thats a good idea you have there Eddie, I think if you trim it up a little to get the over all shape , then add smaller branches on the ends of the trimmed larger branches, add some leaves and you've got a nice looking tree. You may want to dry it well before using it. Keep us posted
Your scope turned out great, he can clean his teeth while he waits for the shot.:-)

If you are adding leaves (parsley or AM) straight to the root I would add more thin branches. This approach is with individual leaf materials.
If you are adding something like lichen or bushy 'fill' material then you don't have to. This is more a mass cover approach.
In this photo I added lichen (the greener under stuff) to the brown limbs. Then I added individual parsley leaves on top of the lichen.
I think in yours you will need some filler branches for the leaves to be attached to. You don't have to use lichen, there are some great 'filler' branches that you can get from the dried flower section of your local craft store.
Don't forget to have fallen leaves on the ground.
