Picked up this kit yesterday as the local shop had a stack of them on sale as a new release. Anyone start this kit yet? I have always feared half tracks as they look hard and so many small peices (tracks) and I have always feared open topped armour. This kit looks cool though and I really like that they include the PAK 36 and a vinyl cover.
Does anyone know do you paint the vinyl tarp cover the same as the vehicle and just weather it to look realistic or is it painted another colour? Is that new Osprey book on How to Build German Halftracks a good book to buy?

Michal,
I usually like helping people. I get a kick out of it. The fact that there is a link to a full page of 251 resources on the armor front page, which include a full build review on the Wurfrahmen AND the book you mention, just gives me a migraine. I wish people would use the resources this site has to offer. Have a look around at all the reviews, the build features, the tips and tricks, the On Display features, the reference section. It's more fun doing it that way.
