Hi there,
I am sure someone out there know the answer for this one.
I am building Revell 1/72 M2 Bradley, before this I have done 1/35 Tamiya M2A2 ODS. Both kits turret have a special 'feature' which I dont understand, that 'hole' underneath the tuuret shown below.

Is the real thing also has a big hole like this? What is this for?
thanks.

I had the exact same question a couple of weeks ago. I filled mine with a chunk of sheet styrene...

The opening is correct. It is where the coax 7.62mm MG is housed. The spent 7.62mm casings are also ejected from it. The actual opening does not extend into the turret. There is an armored door that allows access from the turret to the coax.
25mm spend casings are ejected from the top (11 o'clock) position on the front of the housing around the barrel.

Guys, I did take pictures of this on the real thing a while back, but can't seem to find the pictures on my work or home computer. I do have my camera with me and will be taking it to work Tuesday. If you all can wait, I will clear this "hole" up with a few shots of the real thing. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the 7.62 that would be mounted in it, but I will get good pictures of th inside.

The hole is supposed to be there.

SGT Becerra is correct: the hole is where the 7.62 mm brass and links fall. However, the hole shown in the center on the example picture is actually the engine exhaust port. The hole in the turret is the one at the left of the picture. I ought to know, I was a Bradley Master Gunner for 16 years.

Damn. If we're gonna dredge up 5 1/2 year old posts lets at least add a pic.
