Hi guy’s,
I’ve got DML’s Firefly and I wanted to know what color should it be.
I mostly work with Tamiya color’s so if someone could tell me what number to use that would be great.

TIA

hm olive drab springs to mind here.i also use Tamiya acrylics and found that if you use XF-62 and a touch of XF-60 to lighten it a wee bit you can have a good match.plus it depends on what colour primer you use as this sometimes has an effect on the final base coat.what i have noticed on some colour pictures of shermans and tanks with olive drab is it looks kind of bleached, most problebly due to the sun and other weather effects,so in theory it goes from a dark olive to a lighter shade.
just my thoughts

Jan, A good Tamiya paint approximation for SCC-15 is XF1:1+XF26:8+XF52:8. This is a slight modification of the Tamiya paint recommendation from their superb 1/35 Cromwell kit. SCC-15, the British approximation of U.S. Olive Drab No. 9, would be appropriate for any NWE 1944-1945 Firefly. Other NWE British Sherman Marks could be painted in either SCC-15 or U.S. Olive Drab.
