An interesting release by VLS/CD....
Is the pod actually an empty cylinder or did they cast it as a solid rod (for lack of a better word)? Would it be possible to model the pods opened?

It's a solid rod. The end cap is the packed chute. You could easily drill it out if you wanted.

I wonder why they cast them with the chute packed, like the British one's reviewed earlier? Not complaining or anything but if they would have cast the end hollow and made the packed chute a separate piece you could use them either way.
Will be handy for anyone planning a Crete diorama.
