Hi chaps,
Maybe I have been spending too long on the 'net but I seem to remember someone doing a conversion of the T34 to SU100 in 1/16th scale for the new kits that are about.

Have I gone nuts? 'cause I don't seem to be able to find it now. I am sure it was here last time I looked :-)

Any ideas?

Many thanks.

Tony

p.s. I only ask as I have just picked up a second T34/86 kit really cheap.

Hi Tony,

There's a bunch of German chaps that specialize in big scale armor. One of them even has a webshop...and guess what? He has a SU100 conversion!!
Here's the link:

Hope this helped, John.

Hi Tony!

Here is his website:

http://www.imperial-modellbau.de/

I have the SU-85 kit, and it's very nicely done. I've delayed my work on it for I want to get the correct wheels and the R/C WSN has the "Star" pattern wheels.

I guess I should just order the SU-100 and use the existing platform for those wheels were okay in the later years. The pictures in the Hen Long site look more like an SU-85M with the shorter barrel. I know they came both ways, but the longer barrel looks more correct.

Anyway, the resin parts are real easy to work with and very little sanding is needed. The pieces are flexable and come with zinc metal hatches.

Pretty cool kit!
