Just wondering what people are using for base coat colors for WWII armour for 3 tone german schemes, solid colors like for Tiger 1 DAK,
T-34, Sherman etc. I have read articles that some use Tamiya Nato Black as a base coat for everything to give a shaded look.

When i built my sherman, my base coat was the Tamiya Olive Drab. Some modellers like to use flat black as a pre-shading technique.

Well it all depends on the final color ...For OD vehicles I use Nato black ,but for dark yellow vehicles I'd go with Nato brown...
