Hi, I have an Iwata HP-Bsc plus, but I'm interesting to know if is possible to apply with acrylics paints without problems.
I normaly paint with acrylics and I don't know if the Iwata airbrush can to paint with these paints. (I suppose I need to mix with thinner, but ....what is the percentage?)
Thanks guys. and happy day.

Hello Miguel. I spray with acrylics exclusively through my Iwata HP-SBS. No problems at all. Depending on which manufacturer's paint you use, you will need to practice a little. I mix about 20% thinner (alcohol, MM Acryl Thinner or Windex) to Model Masters paint with pressure at 15 to 20psi.

I have 3 Iwata aibrushes and use acrylics all the time i don't have a percentage but i thin with water till its like skin milk maybe a little thinner and add a few drops of acrylic paint retarder helps to slow the drying time a bit and helps to keep the paint from drying on the needle of the airbrush you can also use some assemble lube on the needle. There are several companies that make pre thinned air brush paints Badger, Comart, Holbien are just a few there are many others.

Another questions, in order to make the maintenance .
I only need to dismount the needle, and the nozzle...only this?
Thanks

I use my Iwata with Vallejo acrylics and windex - P.S.I. about 20, and they airbrush beautifully. Great thing about vellejo is that they also brush paint beautifully .Highly recommended.

Yes I know thanks, the Vallejo acrylics are very good paints. But,.... For my iwata... I donīt know what is the neccesary to dismount in order to clean it.
Please I need to dismount only the needle and the nozzle or I need to dismount another thing?
What is the process to make the maintenance for this airbrush? I need to know because is very expensive..
Thanks.
