Hi all again,
This is Italeri Tiger E/H 1 model. Model was painted with Testors Model Master enamel paints and weathered with well as drybrushed. Figures are Tristar...

Looks really nice. The green makes it more of an eyecather, compared to the usual Tiger. I'd have added a bit more dust to the upper surfaces, especially in the nooks and crannies where it would collect and not be blown off easily.
The figures look very well painted as well, but with them looking in two directions, the viewer's eyes are pulled from the center of the model.

Nice job, really like the weathering and the figures, I wish I could be that detailed on them. The green is a catcher but what made you think of it? I have never read anywhere that the germans used green on their vehicles, let alone in North Africa. I'm no expert by any means, But I would love to read the references on that. It sure looks different than the usual yellow or gray. Looks good,

Congrats,
Bob

I like your work! I think the green is very eye catching! Did you paint it that way just for fun or did you find any reference that backed it up? I also think that the figures looking in two directions is ACCURATE! It might not be as visually cool but it is what a tank crew would have actually done on the battlefield! Good work!

Great job on the little-respected Italeri Tiger kit!

As for your choice of green; this has been beaten to death on the various tank boards for years now.

There is a book, "The Tiger Tank" by Peter Gudgin or Dugin, whatever.

He was there, had his Churchill shot out from underneath him by a Tiger. He said he seen green Tigers, and his post-war research mentions green tigers. His word is good enough for me.

Conventional wisdom is that the green was likely painted from Italian AF stocks of green paint.

Makes sense, as Tunisia was a tad greener than Libya, and if a Tiger TC wanted to hide his target from Hurri-bombers and Havocs in between trees, then green it is.

Nice job Ayhan.
Also nice idea to make it in green. The green Tigers were not so much met. I like the figures, nice work on them, too. I guess you'll weather it later according to your diorama. You are going to make a dio with that, I know
Congrats on finishing and thanks for sharing.

excellent work, especially on the figures!!!

Can you give a newbie any tips on how you painted the figures?

Nice job on this old Italeri kit ...I don't know if this was just an out of the box build or if you'd like to know what should be done to correct the kit ... As for the green I think it is a bit too green ...If anything I think these tigers were painted over with the second camo color used in the desert by the germans which was grey green olive color ,but this is still and probably always will be up for discussion,so your guess is as good as mine ... One thing I'm sure of is that the numbers should not have a red interior as the red was only added when the numbers were changed to either a 7 or an 8 as the first number. I plan to leave the inside of the numbers in the sand color and spray the gray green color over the rest of the tank ...
Great weathering and the figures look great ...good job all over.

Rick
