Here is photo update nr. 7 (nr. 7 already???)
Today I was a little bit ill so I called the company where I work for and told em I`m not coming to work today. So a lot of sleep this day and after that I had some extra time to go on with my dio.
Ok I keep it short
Today I took care of the rubble and debries lying around the house Sculpted them further. put putty on top of that than gave it a layer of sand. After that came the paint.
I did some extra detailing of the window.
Made the wallpaper look a bit older.
Added some propaganda posters.
one side of the house
Other side of the house
rubble detail
The floor and the altered wallpaper
well is there anything missing???...............................
Uuuuuuhm An interior for the house??? and maybe snow???? AAAAAAAh yes of course.
Probably that comes with the next update
All the progress can be ciewed in this 5 paged album at MSN

Faust:
Very nice work.
You've captured the brick color realistically, along with the broken plaster/stucco on the exterior. The inside wall paper and broken sash on the window are really, really, authentic. The posters are a nice touch also.
As you have noted, there would be debris, both household belongings and bricks/dust, on the interior portion of the house.
You might want to consider scorch or burn marks from the heat/flames of the blast on the interior of the room, and a dry weed or two where the pavement meets the base of the house on the exterior.
Really well done. Thanks for posting the pics, and the opportunity for comments.

Hey FAUST
VERY SNAZZY!
I like!...I like!...The brick work and street are very realistic...the window is sweet and the rubble is very nice!...
Are you gonna put more large rubble around? perhaps some more single bricks?
Very nice!...keep the up-dates coming!..

Yoh Wewillhold and Gatekeeper
Thanks for the good comments.
Yeah the interior of my house is going to be designed today.
with probably a table, a little picture of Lenin, and some debris from the floor above and a copy of the "Pravda" laying around or even a old radio. Burnmarks will be visible too
The weedthing is a good one Wewillhold I put that into the dio.
And Gatekeeper your idea is great too I was playing with that thought to add more rubble like loose bricks but I was afraid to overdo it. But as I look to the pictures now I can easily do it.

I keep the flowerpot in mind I think it`s a good idea

This curtain thingy is also something to think about and I love it. It gives a little bit more dramatic appearance to the scene.
And the brokenup chair let`s see how to scratch that I already got the table finished and broken up so that`s also a good idea
( Darn this dio get`s a big thanksto-list)

I like it a lot. It is coming together nicely. I hope you don't mind, I'm using some of this feedback for my own dio too.
I would 'dirty' up the posters a bit. Do a dirty wash on them. Take note of all the interior comments, they are all good.
I would sit back in your easy chair at home and look around Your house and put everything you see in the dio. Pictures, furniture, lamps of some kind, books, knick knacks (that they could carry with them [optional]) any little detail and look floor to ceiling.

Thanks for the good comments on my dio
No I don`t mind that you have used thing from this feedback that`s the whole meaning of this forum, that people share their knowledge.
There is still a lot of weathering and altering to do. That`s why it`s still not finished yet but I`m getting more and more to the end of it. Check out the next posts.
I finished a table for in the house. A want to try to make a chair with that too.
I scratchbuilt "Greta" the bulletmagnet/attractor (pictures available this evening)
Today I`m going to spend some serious time on the interior
You will see what`s next in the following episode of......... contest "DISTRACTION" photo update nr....8
Any questions?? Just ask
