I have a bottle of Model Master Flat Clear Lacquer Finish and would like to know what I should use to clean with after using it.
I have airbrushed it on one model so far and thinning it with the Model Master Lacquer Thinner worked great and I got a very nice flat finish.
But I cleaned my airbrush with a regular "department" store lacquer thinner, which seems to be very toxic.
Is there something else that will clean up this lacquer finish that’s safer, maybe something like isopropyl alcohol?
I just don't want to use something that might react with the lacquer and "screw up' the airbrush.
Thanks

I pretty much use the same type of thinner as you. I got mine in a gallon jug at Wal Mart for a couple of bucks. I just make sure to only open the bottle outside as the wife makes it well known that she does not like the smell if she even gets a whiff of it. I dont see a real big difference in the smell between that and her nail polish remover (which to me is worse than the paint thinner).
I have not had any problems with my airbrush using it even with the MM dull coat.
