Here I go again..My next project, as of now, Will have a few new attempts by me. Snow, ice, small pines (in photo) and who knows what else? What I'm looking for is ..small pine right or left? Had an inspired moment when I came up with an easy way to make the small pines...both took about 10 minutes to make.

I think the small one looks better on the left so you can see the more of the truck. Trees look good. How did you do them?

I agree with Gino. Small tree to the left gives a better view of the truck

I would also suggest that you move them each a different length from the edge of base.
They look too "uniform" at the moment. Perhaps the smaller on the left in 4-5 inches and leave the larger one in it's current position.
This would also allow a better view of the cab.
Cheers,
Andy.

G'day Mate
Looking good so far, I agree with Jenny, that is a really nice looking base, what type of wood is that?
Didn't answer me in the rivet review board so tell me mate, how come the Opel is yellow, some sort of historical signifigance?
Cheers

Is this the whole diorama? If there is going to be 'focus' on the tailgate then small on the right. If not then definitely left.
How about this twist, big on the left, then turn the truck so the hood is coming toward us (in the photos) Between the two trees?... Just a tought.

Thanks for the thoughts all.
David. Not sure what wood the base is. Picked them up at the local Walmart for around $3.00..just thought they would be unique. As far as the yellow..thats the plastic color..still need to prime and paint.. :-)
Scott, Whole dio? size wise yes..as far as whats going on ..no. I still have a long way to go and nothing is final. I tend to build on the fly, adding as I go . I should probably draw out the ideas I have...thats one thing I dont do. Most are Improvised as I move along with only a general idea of what I'm looking to accomplish.

John..i really like what you have going so far. The trees look really good. Do you think it might be possible for a close up on one of the trees? I'd like to see the detail a bit better.. The Opel looks great so far..nice clean build..is it OOB?
I have seen these bases before too..I think they are typically use in woodburning projects..but i really like the overall feel of it being used here. I can't wait to see more progress on this one.
