I like it alot. Works great with the backgrounds.
Some critizism:

The canteens looks too 'plastic'-like. Some weathering or shadowing would help.

The tall grass looks too aranged. A little bit of more groundwork (rocks, grass etc) could make it more realistic.

I like the figures. I've got the kit myself, and have had a great time making them.
In all, I like the dio and I think you've one a great job on the tank.

Pedro

Welcome and what a great introduction to Armorama.

I like the overall setup and think you have tied it together well. One thing to look at would be the string you have coiled for a rope - if you run it through bees wax or quickly over a candle you will get rid of the fine "hairs" that are sticking out.

also as an Aussie I didn't realise T34s tromped around Ayres Rock (Uluru) :-)

I like what you have done, particularly the way you have taken your photographs - a great way to show off your models. The colour of the dust ties everything together as it appears on boots too....maybe some on
the elbows and backsides would look good, as those troops will have fought through that dust on their bellies, backs and behinds, anything that kept them out of the way of the bullets.

one thing though - that guy on the front drivers side, he looks like he sat down on a tie-down bracket- his face tells a story :-)

keep up the good work, and lovely photography.

thats a very good effort.

Love the texture and weathering you did.

I probably would either paint the ropes down a little as the "fluff" on it kinda gives it away that its not really seasoned.

Pedro -

Welcome to Armorama, and as mentioned a excellent build to intro yourself. The details are outstanding and compliment the overall presentation very well. Great job of weathering on the T34 and the figures are really well done. My only critique/hint would be to try and get rid of the seam/mold lines on the figures next time, tends to take away a little from some very nice figures. Great job and look forward to seeing more.

Overall a very nice dio like how you made some paint runs for the turret numbers On the third photo I can still see the decal film for the turret numbers That's why I prefer dry transfers if possible No carrier film

Hi Pedro ,
I can see you now saying damn Aussies , I laughed when I saw it too . It is a very unique Aussie sky line . :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) You were not to know how distinctive it was . Maybe you could have a theme running through your dioramas pick the background ?
I really like the model & top marks for putting a backdrop behind your diorama . Lots of love to the madspaniard from the dumb blonde aussie girl

I think you have done an excellent job, particularly in the weathering of the figures. The mud on the boots is well done, and a fine detail often overlooked. The armor is also nicely done and looks quite detailed.

I would suggest that perhaps the weeds are a bit to symetrical - try clipping the tops to different lengths to disrupt this pattern.

Finally, while I enjoyed the photos, they were obviously a huge format size... try to reduce them in the JPG format to 640 x 480 with 50% jpeg reduction... this will make the photos load much faster for viewers, and will also allow them to be viewed without scrolling. If you can upload your figure as a 50K file rather than a 2 Meg file, it also saves much space on the server for more photos.

Welcome aboard - you appear to be talented, and I look forward to seeing more of your future work!
