Gentlemen,
Since there are many more knowledgeable people out there than I, is DML's 6182 Firefly Vc kit incorrect by not using part V5 as the backing for the suspension? The kit omits the installation of the pieces, installing the bogie directly to the hull. If I am wrong in my assumption, please let me know! Thanks,

Jed

The mounting plates (V5) should be fitted. The absence from the instructions is just one of the errors in them. You should also note that the idler mounts are incorectly drawn but have the correct numbers (H1/H2).

Thanks, noticed they were a little off. That and the pieces for whatever it is on the rear(H17 and it's friends) aren't drawn very clear, so I am working through it bit, by bit.

There was an erratum slip in my firefly kit to say where to put the mounting plates

If you'd be able to e-mail me a scan of that sheet, I'd appreciate it. The one I purchased came with nothing extra.

Thanks,
Jed

Hi Jared,

I just about finished this kit, have a look here for some more problems and fixes.

Cheers
Henk
