Hey guys,
just a bit curious here, on the Abrams turret sides there are 2 large staroage boxes. what goes in side of those boxes? i see the crews gear strapped to the sides, ammo cans all over the place, just curious as to whats in those boxes.

All sort of items goes in the boxes. When I was a TC on the M1a1 on the commanders side we carried manuals and my bag full of snack also spare barrel for .50 cal and such. In the loaders box all sorts of assorted mess and the tool bag. The reason the crews strap there items in the bustle rack is that the stowage boxes are not very big at all....

Go to their gallery and look up M1A1 Abrams (it is the Abrams gallery with the largest selection of images out of the 3 or 4 Abrams galleries) and look throught the images. There are a couple of the interior of the bins.
