knows anyone a good source on the net about these oil field trasporters used as tank trasporters during this conflict?
I have some small pictures of mercedes,mack and others but not really helpfull to build such a beast

I've just done a quick Google search and I've came across a book that may be useful for such a project : it presents some of the trucks that are used in Saudi Arabia by oil companies and Saudi Arabia army as well...

including impressive trucks like the Kenworth 953 (IIRC it's the one that is often seen on Desert Storm pictures...)

Other books on similar trucks in the Middle East by the same editor seem to be worth a look too...
