Dear All
After introduction photos of my usmc humvee
please check following link
[url=https://armorama.kitmaker.net/forums/60789&page=1linkname[/url]

Here is more pictures, All most finished still waiting from Proart for the Sincgars Radio (Special Thank to Gino) and Special Thank for My favorite Brazilian guy for the Carton Boxes.
I have 3 questions:
1- I left the two front doors with European camo, is it realistic?
2- I would like to attach the Mule pack on the outside door, of the passenger, again realistic or not?.
3- I would like to attach the CIP panel in a more random fashion as depict by TAM, is it possible ?

The Humvee will be included in a Dio call " Duck Tape"

thank in advance
seb

cheers

Seb,

I can't comment on the accuracy, or realism, you asked about. But I do really like the feel of this Humvee, the duct tape in particular.

I'm anxious to see this one done!

Looking good.
Multi-colored body parts is seen all the time, no issue there.

Attaching the MOLLE pack to the rear door is doable as well.

The CIPs would usually be attached to the doors though. The mounts for them are made for the doors and fit the existing hardware, etc. They were usually seen on the front doors.

Also, don't forget to paint the side indicator lights and reflectors as well. Amber for the front ones, red for rear.

Coming along nicely.

By the way, it is "DUCT" tape, as in air conditioning duct. Not DUCK tape, as in quack, quack. I don't like the tape on the driver's window though. It is already hard to see a wide view out of the windows, the duct tape would make it even harder and reduce visibility even more. If the window is damaged, it would most likely be removed till it can be replaced.

Nice looking hummer you got there. This one looks like the Tamiya humvee? I like the duck tape look of it. Looks like this humvee has been through hell and back!

It looks good, however I'm not too crazy about the duct tape on the drivers side window. If it was that bad, the window would either be yanked out and replaced, or just left out entirely until a replacement could be found. "Q"

Nice and original Humvee.
It seems it should retire :-)

Just a question about the way you represented the hatch opened. Is it the right way, I've always thought it opened folding the first half back then the bigger one but without any jacks. Is it a new hatch type ?

The camo doors look great, and, given the duct tape and heavy weathering, I would say are just right. Camo doors, and 3-tone camo parts are seen all the time in Iraq photos.

What is interesting is that, as far as I can remember, this is the first M1114 Humvee I have seen completed (or near completed) in model form (MIG set I assume?), and also the first that I have seen with duct tape on a window - in my opinion a gutsy move that really paid off.

My only suggestions are in reference to the weathering. Compared to the rest of the vehicle, the tires themselves (not the hubs) look too tame - and fake for that matter. Given that this looks like it is ready for combat patrols, I can't say that I would have the SAW unloaded. I'd at least put a 200 round ammo box for it next to the SAW, if not add the box to the gun all together.

For the CIPs, I can see why you want them in different locations. Having them on the front doors kind of negates the purpose of showing the 3-tone. I would definitely add the one on top of the hood (if that is now possible with the concertina wire isn't glued down). I have seen pictures of the side CIPs mounted on either side of the sloped rear hatch, but I wouldn't recommend doing it that way. In the end it is your model and your call, but you are on your way to a great finish!

Dear All
Thank for the all the comments.
Well Gino, concerning the Duct tape
please check the following link and thank again for your help and comments:
http://www.octanecreative.com/ducttape/duckvsduct.html
Well the Duck Duct tape on the window, it is just real one, the dio will depict a Marines just putting the tape on it.
I don't want to put CIP panel on the front door but more on the rear of the hull as mentionned by Jeff.
Concerning the turret, it is true that it is coming from Mig, i didn't use the door. I choose this one in order to add a camel bag on the rear of the turret hatch as seen on combat photos.

Concerning the comment form Olivier, the rear hacth is not finish yet, and the weathering of the tires too.

Thank all for your comments

hi there, nice humvee you got there. if the trunk compartment is always closed..the spare tyre will do great on top. if its always opened..i'm not sure if it can carry the weight of the spare tyre. driving throught rough terrain can easily damage the hinges and support arms of the lid. i like the idea of overloading stuffs on the humvee. thanks for sharing.

Sorry to see I was not clear! I should have mentioned "turret hatch" in my above post.

It's not an M1114. There's no extended grill/headlight front or AC vents on left rear, and doors are different. I have never seen any Hummers with that turret ring door/top other than M1114's.
I'm guessing it's a 1025. Nice build otherwise.
