I´ve done this little dio with an Esci 250/9 crossing a pioneer bridge, but now it´s pretty empty.
does anyone have an idea for something to add (except figures)?

Thanks a lot in advance,
ekke
PS: the water on the pic is not yet cured, so it´s a little whitish...

I like the look of this...For my tastes..i would add a little grass down the center of the roadway..perhaps some sprigs of grass throughout spots in the snow as well. You may even consider adding a few reeds to your waterline, although im not sure how that might work now that you have already poured your water. Just some thoughts..
Great Job on the Esci..

Hi,
I agrre Mary's ideas with the reeds or long grasses by the water line. Besides this I would add some trees or just one big tree, it can be a dry one on the scene..

yup...lot's of possibilities with this one
how about a fence? possibly broken...
some rocks, shrubs (no leaves)...
a signpost?
barrels, broken ammo crates...
a burnt out camp fire perhaps?

All of the above and even the engineers who put the bridge together could be watching as the 250/9 crosses.
Maybe a fence for a cow field or so.

Near rivers you generally have more flaura then just grass, so some shrubs peeking through the snow would be nice. A little, simple tree could be fine as well. Since it's winter, you hardly have to bother about the foliage anyway

Thanks for the new ideas. It's quite a while ago that I started this thread, but I still have the same problem.
I think I'll start working on that dio again now, thanks a lot!
Greetings,
ekke

Hey ekke,
Something I would do is put mud slatter out into the snow at each end of the bridge.
Y'know what I plan to do someday is a crashed airplane. Now, I am not talking about a model, per se, but painting and decaling aluminum foil, then tearing and rending it and scattering this debris around with Plastruct, or other engineering shapes.. A landing gear leg, an engine--whatever you have handy, could exentuate the suggestion of a catastrophic airframe failure.
Oh, and some grass, shrubbery, a bicycle...

In one of the corners, you could have a motorbike w/sidecar with a couple of figs standing next to it pointing in directions, looking at a map.
Just a thought.
Thanks

I agree. It would be a simple but well balanced and effective scene if you would add some trees in the empty room
