Well, I bought an Academy M1A1 Abrams on Ebay for around $10.00 and recieved it today.
Not very much of a model, but I only wanted the turret and engine cover anyway.

Has anyone built this model?


This is the side panel of the box.

I'd like to flesh out the inside of this turret and I need some pointers towards detail sets I can look at.

A couple warnings. The kit is way off in dimensions and details. The turret is the older M1 turret and 5mm too short for an M1A1, Academy never updated it. The barrel is all out of porportion too. It is too big and too short, just all around bad.

Murphy, I have the interior set from the Dragon M1A1 that I could send off for you. I realize that the accuracy of the interior set is off but at least you would have something to work with. PM me if interested.

Thanks. No M60 series interior out there that I know of. Check out this masterpiece in scratchbuilding by Kim Hyoung-Min at M-L though. Simply awesome.
