Hi blockhaus..!

Great build! But I personally feel the wheels of the tank are a little over weathered... but then hey, it's my personal view. The painting looks great! That tank must be having a hard time climbing up that slope..

How did you secure the tank to your base??

Hello all
thanks in name of Adam and mine for your nice words.
I can respond from my part of the work. Adam write late about is part. ( painting and tank assembly.

Evan, yes this is a work published in AFV modeller. You can find there a in deep article about Adam paint the tank and building.

Tom, this church is made in a combo of cardboard, cork, some little stones from the beach and plastic.

lower part is made as ussual with a structure of carborad whit cork and little stones glued in it.
Upper part is plastic scribbed as wood. roof is ade with little bits of plastic.

I´m inspired in a photo taken from a E-book that I linked here in a previous post about wooden churches in Western Ukraine published in 1937.
hope that this helps

Carlos

As always - wonderful!

If copyright and legal issues are ok I'd love to see an OD submission on this. I think armor and diorama sections would enjoy seeing this.

Thanks for the info blockhaus!

If you could write some more about creating wood out of plastic I would be very grateful. What technique do you use?? A short how to would be a great addition:)
Maybe you have some links which show and describe this technique??

cheers,
dsc.

Hi my friend,

A wonderfull diorama again!

About the T-34: is it one in German service (camouflage looks german 3-tone)? If so I think the tank is missing some large German crosses which captured tanks had to make sure they didn't receive friendly fire....

Or is it a Russian camouflage scheme I don't know yet?

Hello Matin
this colour scheme is one of those proposed by Dragon for this model. It is a Russian scheme. However it seems that it is a controversial scheme. When I put these pictures in the Russian forum there was a controversial debate among the Russian colleagues on if this scheme existed or not in this vehicle.

Hello Tom I
doesn't have pictures of the process, but it is very easy, it is simply necessary to go rasping the plastic with the cutter, it depends on the angle of incidence of the knife on the plastic the signs they will be more or less deep. in this case the angle of incidence was very low, around 20º. I wait to have explained to myself well, if it is not please make more questions
cheers

Wow very very nice wooden structure there. The stone wall at the base is a very nice touch as well. Would really like to know how you painted the wood cause its one of the best ive seen so far!

Great job and looking forwarding to reading more on the submission if you plan on doing one.
