Beauties, Jenny. Great poses and cool positioning. Looking forward to seeing more. Did you buy the figs that you required for the dio, or are you just using what you have?

Whats up Jenny,
Your dio is coming along very nicely. The figures youve chosen are great. I especially like the one pulling the map out of his map pack. Well If you ever have any questions on german camo or anything that has to do with germans, if you didnt already know, I know the most about germans around this part of town :-) Just give me a PM or somthing and well talk. Well see ya when I see ya mate, and definatly keep us posted!

Splendid Jenny and Richie
They all look German to me, so this is a good sign :-)
I like the fact you have chosen poses which although are not full 'action', they display the exact amount of movement that is relevant to their tasks...
The 2 on the lil boat are showing their cat-like balance for sure!!
Cheers

Great stuff Jenny!! The figures look fantastic...
There's gonna be lots of painting to be done..!
Do keep us posted on more progress shots..

Hmm... out of curiousity, are you gonna add water effects to the base?? Coz it looks like the boat is hitting the ground as of now.. and if water is added, the boat is supposed to be floating. Then you'll have to switch the poses of those 2 engineers, which might be a pain if you've glued the limbs already

Jenny I love the natural look and relaxed poses of your figures - remember when you place them and paint the eyes to keep the figures in eaches eyline -enhances te picture story -all the great artist used these tricks so that one figure loks at the next like Chinese whispers.
Also don't forget the shiny tops on the rail (just a train modellers thing)

I can see you're making good progress. Lots of figures. LOVE it. Just keep that power drill far away from those wonderful figures.

Thats an awesome collection of figgies. The one is better than the other.

Looking forward to see how they'll turn out. Regarding the Hornet heads - I agree with you. They're very full of character, but some of their faces looks to alike though.

Jenny

Good write up! Very very obvious the whole scene/concept/layout has been thoroughly thought through.

You'll be kept busy with lots of work to do finishing the figs, bridge, etc. (smile). Keep us posted, and once this one is completed, please consider submitting it for a Feature or Model on Display for the site.

Jenny -

I've been following this truly inspired and well planned diorama with great interest. Think the work, details, and figures do an excellent job supporting your theme. Though everything is on the "casual" side, I'm thinking that small arms would still be abundant and maybe someone on "lookout"? I have quite a "stash" of figures and associated items, so if you're in need of something or looking for some extra stuff just let me know as I'd be honored to contribute to the cause. A really outstanding job and anxious to see this as it develops. Thanks for sharing it,

These look superb figures. Very lifelike even without paint.

This looks like fascinating dio. Excellent work. Way above my skill level. (Jealous)

This seems to coming out fine. I echo everybody elses comments. Only thing is that some necks tend to get a little long, I would have shortened them a little bit.

Also a suggestion. Rock the boat a little bit to the side were the engineer is standing on the indicate weight and unstability.

Great composition and the figures are really gonna make this one a beauty.

The boat is also a flat bottomed boat......

About that boat, who makes it? I needed one a while back and had no luck finding one like that.

Very nice figures, I especially like the two climbing down the pylons, & the composition is well thought out & works well.

Both of these soldiers had SS insignia which had to be removed and replaced with wehrmacht insignia

It looks to me as though the guy on the left has a smock on. Just a small detail, but the Heer & SS smocks differed slightly in detail & construction. SS smocks were sewn up as a one piece garment with short sleeves, then the sleeves proper were added in, so the sleeve seam appears hafway down the sleeve. I think the Heer ones had the sleeves sewn into the shoulder seam. Also the SS smock had an elasticated waist & wrists, whereas the Heer smock had wrists that closed with a button & tab. A small detail, but will be noticable in this scale. Please excuse if I'm being too anal!

Hey Jenny,
Can I ask why you removed the SS insignia and replaced it?
