I´m about to buy a new airbrush because I got tired of my Aztek. I´m thinking about an Evolution Silverline. Are there anyone out there who knows anything about it?

Ola Torbjörn,

I used to work with a Badger 150, but since a year I work with the harder&Steenbeck Evolution 2in1....And what a joy!!
Very easy clean-up, but what is more important, very good results! Fine lines, bigger surfaces...No Problemo!!

My advise: Go for it, you won't regret it!!

Greetings,

I have a few Iwata's which are very fine airbrushes. A few people out there were raving about the Harder & Steenbeck Evolution so I wanted to check one out I bought the Evolution 2 in 1 from Obeelik's. Fantastic service and though I live in the USA, mine was delivered in three days. All I can say about the Evolution is that it is fantastic. You get two needles and two color cups. I especially like the way it feels in my hand with it having a nice balance. Order one, you won't be sorry. Also before ordering, check out Obeelik's. They seem to have the best prices.

Hope this helps you,

Chuck B.

Hi, Torbjorn
I have been using my Evolution for a while now, and I am very happy with it. It has greatly improved my airbrush skills.

Cheers
Erik

Thank you all for your opinions about the airbrush. I met a fellow modeller here in Sweden at a modellingmeeting (excuse my english) who uses the Evolution 2 in 1, and he was very pleased with it, so I´m going to buy one.

I have to agree, the Harder&steenbecks 2 in 1 evolution is a sweet looking airbrush, but where do you fidn them here in the states? Is there a link to where you can order them online? How about parts? Are these reliable? Would parts replacement be a headache from here in the states? I am looking at getting a new brush in the next month or so and would really love to check these out more. My other option would be a Iwata eclipse. Any one have any answers? Thanks Kevin

Hi there

Mal Mayfield (Holdfast) got an Evolution a while back and simply raved about it. Me being me, I couldn't resist buying one too, although I'd only recently upgraded to an Iwata Eclipse!

I must say - Mal wasn't wrong; the results are excellent and the inclusion of two needles and tips is a real bonus. I find the build-quality about the same as Iwata (which I think is pretty good recommendation) but, importantly for me, I definitely prefer the trigger-action on the Evolution - it just feels smoother and I find it easier to control the air / paint flow at the "low end".

All the best

Hej Torbjörn. I too, have an evolution and cant say enough good things about it. Along with the comments above, its very easy to clean. If you ask on IPMS Stockholms page, you´ll find that the majority there, use the evolution and will recommend it also.
Would also recommned buying the quick fix ( för inställning / låsning av färgflödeflöde med minnes funktion). This helped me a lot! You can get this from Johnny Puma online.

Today I recieved my Evolution 2 in 1 with "Quick-Fix". I haven´t tried it yet but it looks very good. It´s very comfortable in the hand, so I´m looking forward to try it.
