That's some nice -looking Sturer! Do you mind if I ask what is the Field Gray equivalent for tamiya acrylics? I hope mine will be half as good looking as yours!
Pardon me coz I'm new in modeling.

Very good looking Sturer,Karl. The "creep" of the mud/dust up the walls of the fighting compartment is very impressive!

ha ha thats the bit am dreading, there dont seem much of a lip on the wheels to paint the tire, dont know if i should try using a brush or a circle stencil?

dont use field grey as that is more of a green colour.
i used german grey mixed with light grey and slowly add dark blue untill it has a blue grey colour.

vinnie i wanted to do this kit as a battle worn tank,as it was deployed at kursk it must have gotten very dirty.

after i had painted the base colour i lightly covered it in a muddy brown colour at the bottom of the model, then gave it some darker grey here and there, then sprayed a lighter grey in some areas.once this was done i coated it in future and gave it a few burnt umber washes,i also used the new Tamiya weathering powders and just brushed it all over the model.

any way cheers all and thanks for the comments :-)

Definitely use a aribrush and stencil the wheels. You do want this model to finish by this year right?
