Hi Peter
A WC52 fitted with a Maxson M33 turret (2 x .50 cal Browning MG) had been tested at Aberdeen proving grounds in March 1942 but it did not make it to the production line....neither did another one tested with a 4.5 inch rocket launcher in December 1942 (Rocket Motor Carriage T62). I've got pics of both vehicles.

: have you given up your project about a ODS Saudi tank transporter ?

Peter, the only one I am familiar with is the "Fargo" - M6 37mm GMC (Gun Motor Carriage). Which used a 3/4 ton weapons carrier chassis.

Info update :
According to the picture below (from a previous thread on Armorama), it seems that "some" Dodge trucks fitted with the Maxson turret ( which differ from the test vehicle shown on the picture I have) were actually used in the field (but when ? and where ?) ... :

It's very mysterious photo, I think it's the only one showing Dodge with quad .50 It would be great to know more about this vehicle. Hard to believe that quad Maxson can be mounted on such small and light truck but we can see it

I originally linked that photo. These were (if I recall correctly) were slated to be sent to Japan in the event of an invasion. This never materialized...

Here's the test vehicle I was talking about :

The Maxson M33 turret was the one used on M13 AA half-tracks
