Hi,

I am returning to the hobby after many years away. I have started using Tamiya paints and am very happy with acrylics.

My question is, I have purchased some Andrea paints and their format is new to me. I am wondering...Should I be diluting these paints? Will they cover details if I apply straight out of the bottles? Thanks

I thin Andrea Paints with water. They work just fine.
Haven't tried painting straight from the bottle yet though, can't comment. But I'm guessing it should be a problem.

Just make sure you give the paint time to dry.

Oh, and welcome back to the Hobby

Thanks for the info. I will try it as soon as I can get my corner set up and my list of chores completed to get my wife off my back!!!

You should thin abou 50% with water using Andrea (and Vallejo). It won't cover completely on the first pass, butu will dry enough for a second coat in minutes. This should give you good color saturation.
