Hi all,
here is my new model quite done.
It was built 90% OOTB. I just replaced the cable brackets and some grab handles cast solid by Trumpeter and added the smoke dischargers chains.
Sorry for the poor light conditions, I'll try to post better pics soon.

Whoa, your model looks amazing and Trumpeter's quality looks sharp! Now that's an AFV model you don't see every day...

Bison126,
Looks very good to me. A couple of questions as I am in progress on mine (upper and lower hull are joined and the tires built, that all so far). What colors did use use for the camo and how good was the fit of the PE that's included?

Very Nice build! I have one of these in my stash too. How was the fit on this? It looks very good. Trumpeter has really gone from poor quality to good in a short period. Thats one company willing to take risks in what they produce.

Great looking model you got there Olivier! Love the subtle weathering you did on this one.
Perhaps its the photo playing tricks on my eyes but the tow cables look like they have some "loose" bits on it making it look like rope. If so, i found the best way to seal them down is to first paint them and then seal them with a matt varnish.
Other than that, very well done!

Thanks for posting. I have been thinking about this kit. After seeing the great job you did on yours I am going to have to order one.

Hi,
thank you all for your kind words.
Here are some answers :
the fit is quite good, I just had to fill a gap between the rear panel and the roof. You'll need to remove the cast seam though if you want a proper alignement of the various parts. No visible sink marks. The running gear is long to build but no trap there.
the PE parts are a bit stiff but better than Skif usual one. I had to file the front "mudguard" to get it correctly aligned with the hull side. The tiny part to be bent in a L shape has two "pins" to insert into the holes in the large part. As the tiny part has no bend line engraved, I cut off the pins on one to assemble both parts. Maybe, I bent it incorrectly.
the camo scheme is done with Tamiya standard colors as their JGSDF tones are not available in Europe. The colors are XF65 Field grey and a mix of XF49 Khaki, XF51 Khaki Drab and XF64 Red Brown, BTW it is the colors recommended in Tammy Type90 kit.
Jazza,
I see what you mean about the cable. It's a bit too long. I'll see what I can do about that. Thanks for the tip.
