Cheyenne,
I am glad you posted some pictures to see the elements all together. The re-worked windows in the shack look good. I like the doors and the "stone" wall surround, cork? This is quite an impressive endeavor and I look forward to seeing more as you progress.

Extremely nice work

Hi Mate
Looking great love the details on the shack, and the alterd windows, still think you should have gone for the neo-Norman conical roof with archer slits...lol lol :-) :-) .Really like the stone work leading into the wine store ,the idea of lights in there will be great.
I agree with Kevin get some theraputic ground work in there.
Keep it coming bro wonderful and imaginative as i have said all a long a work of art cant wait to see the paint go on then it will come to life.
There are 2 nicorette chewing gums to kill the craving on there way by UPS..LOL LOL

Take care speak during the week.
Cheers Chris

Cheyenne ,
Looks great mate , the windows look a lot more delicate now , what did you make the siren / horn thingies from .
Mighty proud on your big effort to give up smoking , you will feel much better ( and smell better too! )
Are you going to make the ladder to the wharf with the bridge control shack like the one in my bridge diorama ?
Is the facade for the cellar (the archway) a model railway item ? Are you going to airbush the water & then use clear resin ?
Love the weekly updates & watching the scene develop.
Lots of Love
Jenny
P.S . If you are at a loss at what to spend the $500 on , spend it on me !

Cheyenne,

Looks great, large undertaking, I'm glad you got some new photos up of the entire project. I think things are progressing well. I can say for myself anyway that when working on a project this large it is easy to get caught up in all the different possibilites... How do you keep focused? That one I have been trying to solve for two years on my Carentan project.

The only mistake I see... You quit smoking before its completion, you are a better man than me!

Keep up with the great work!

Looks great - where will you keep this one? It's huge!

As for the smoking - quit for 1 year 8 months here. Hang in there - it's get easier. I can have a few beers these days around smokers and not feel like one at all.
But I had a compelling reason - I quit before the birth of my daughter (she's 17 months old) I didn't want to drop dead on her at forty or so!!!
Try the gum, although I prefered the lozenges - I even pretended they where smokes - taking them out of my mouth little tap of them back in etc worked well.
Good luck - remember the first 2-3 weeks are the hardest!

Cheyenne -

My compliments and encouragement on two fantastic endeavors. Your diorama is simply eye catching in all the details which are especially noteworthy. I love the phone and speaker on the shack, little touches like that put this levels above just plain outstanding. And on top of that quitting smoking. Two efforts that deserve congrats and continued support. My hat is off to you, sir.

Sorry about the double post thing [ tried to fix a pic. loading problem thingie and... oh well ].
Thanks for all your comments, Jenny, the loudspeaker phone thingie is made from bits and pieces of bird feces, acorns and stale rice........... Just kidding, they are pieces from the model junkyard, and I believe from an old Tamiya 1/72 P.T. boat. I never throw anything away. Yes the stonework around the cellar doors is model r.r. stuff I had laying around, and yes dear I will get on the ladder for the bridge to the pier thing.
Kevin, guys the quiting smoking thing really wasn't that hard , just up and quit cold turkey 2 & 1/2 weeks now and there is only one dead mailman, an annoying small yappy dog, three old biddies, two salesmen and a partridge in an old Mayonnaise jar. Sorry..... still not well yet.
As far as staying focused on the build, I don't really have much time so when I do get to work on it I really enjoy tinkering around and creating things.
Thanks again everyone and next I'd like to get the different ground levels in so it will have an even better eye for where I'm going with this.
Oh and Chris old buddy what the he*l is a neo -Norman conical roof with archer slits ... is that like a codpiece or something... remember I've [ we've ] seen your modeling in the raw pics. L.O.L.
