Great dio brian!
What did you use to make the groundwork? It looks good.
Nice job on the panzer too.

Thanks guys,
JM, the ground work is tile grout over pink insulation foam. The grass is a mixture of Heki grass, static grass, and bristols from an old paintbrush. The trees, and rock mold are from woodland scenic.

The model and most of the grounwork looks superb Brian. My only nitpick is that long grass at the side....it looks 'chopped off' or scythed too evenly?

Nice looking Dio Brian.. I love the streaking effect on the side of your tank.. Would you care to enlighten us on how you did that?
Thanks
Dave

Hey Dave, thanks.
The streaks are done using a sludge wash of brown/black mix, some streaks are thinned brown, and I also used chalks. The combo of all these, gives a nice mix of colors.

I like the overall look of the vehicle. Great job. I'd lower the gun a bit. It looks like they are duck hunting. If they are lying in wait, the gun would be trained on a specific spot somewhere along the horizon.

Brian, I must have missed this when yo uposted it. Its great I love the two different styles of camo on the tank and I love the ground work. I have to agree with Vinnie though that that one patch of grass is to evenly cut off. Fix that and its a show winner! Cheers Kevin

Brian...this is one good looking diorama. I love the overall look to it..However..as Vinnie mentioned..the grasses to the side of the tank look too "even"...maybe you could adjust them a bit...

I really do like the different camo patterns on the skirts and the tank destroyer. Great Painting!
As far as the dio is concerned, I think it is the stark contrast of the grass next to the tank destroyer vs. the grass along the perimeter of the dio. ?

Thanks again all. I didn't think much of the grass before it was mentioned, but I will go back and see if I can "adjust" the height.
As for the different paint scheme on the side skirts, that was an "artistic liscense" on my part. The instructions had the paint scheme for the tank, but didn't show anything for the skirts. I don't know if Johann Huber's 405 even had side armor. Any way I thought it would look cool with two different schemes.
Alen, all in all it was a pretty good kit. Most of it was a repackage of an old DML kit with some new updates. I had some problems with the armor skirt supports, but nothing too difficult. You can search this site, Vinnie (Teacher) did a review of this kit not too long ago.

Brian, nice build and excellent use of background for the pics. Everything looks great and the terrain turned out nicely as well.
