Hi all, one thing that happens now and again, is when I've airbrushed a model, a mask might not be on properly or something and I need to do a bit of touching up, there is always a difference in colour between the airbrush colour and the bit I've touched up with a brush. I can't get the same colour, I've only added thinner to the paint. These are paints straight from the jar.
Any tips would be most welcome, thanks

The difference in colour is more than likely as a result of spraying over a base-colour. The spray coat is very thin, when you touch up with a brush, it's a lot thicker. I can only suggest you try and thin it even more before touch up, or mask again and touch up by spray gun.

When I need to touch up an airbrushed finish, I usually use almost a drybrush technique - *very little* paint on the brush and 'dust' the area with the brush. It takes a while, but the touched up bits blend into the surrounding area. The trick is to use a light touch and move the brush fairly quickly back and forth across the surface.
This will also get you pretty close to the flat finish you get from an airbrush.
