Okay my Tristar arrived and I opened it up and pulled out my Dragon IV e. The Tristar holds it own. It doesn't have all the extra goodies, but the super detail is there, it matches up quite evenly. I f you can pick one up cheap on Ebay (I got mine for $25) you'll be quite pleased. I know Dragon is coming out with theirs. I would vote toss-up btwn the two.

Steve, I also picked up one of these Panzer IV D's from Tristar and my first impressions are that it is very well moulded with nice crisp detail.
However it sells for a similar price to the Dragon kits here in the UK without the etched and barrel, but I will wait for the Dragon Panver IV D to compare them side-by-side.
