Hello everyone,

Here's my 1:35th scale T-34 Model 1941 by Dragon. It has aluminum barrel, scratchbuilt transmision and fenders. I lost the four clips on the transmision deck cover. I think my airbrush blew it all off my work table. Those things are very tiny. :-)

I'm planning to make a small vignette for this. Some of the tank tools will scattered around the tank. So stay tuned.

STAND STILL! Why did you go for the aluminum barrel, if I may ask? I went and picked this up last week with the hopes of building it OOB. ..that was 7 days ago. :-) If I ever build it I hope mine looks half as good as yours.

It looks real... I was about to say "real good" but I realised it was more than that. I think I would use a graphite pencil to add a little metallic color to the high points on the tracks, but that's about all I would suggest.

Good job with the airbrush David!

I agree with Jim, I would give the tracks more detail where they make contact with the ground. Even on earth surfaces, the tracks would have a polished look to them.

Great job with the colors...I like!

Perhaps because it comes with the kit, as well as PE engine screen mesh?

Hello Alex,

Thanks for the kind words. I went with aluminum barrel since I have trouble sanding the seam off the plastic barrel especially the "step" tip.

cheers

Hello Jim,

I did rub silver pencil on most of the tracks. I guess it's difficult to see from the pics. Maybe the colour of the tracks and the silver blends in.

Thanks.

Hi Alex,

My T-34 did not come with aluminum barrel. Only the PE. I bought the barrel separately. The barrel is by CMK.

cheers

very nice. i like the weathering. specially the bleeding rust on turret. adds age and realism. the T34 is the only tank that can get away with that kind of weathering. i'll get me one and start right up.

.. nice one david... overall weathering and paint looks good. what colour did you use for the green?

.... btw the only DML t-34 with alumnium barrel is the 'german army' version... if so, seems it can be made into the regular russian version as well...
