Hi Matt,
I think you did a really good paintjob on this one. It is brush painted right?
Only thing i see is that there are alot of glue 'stains' around the tools. Try to use a sharpened toothpick to apply the CA glue. It wont be so messy.
Nice one!

Hi Matt
Great looking Tiger. It is good to see some youngsters at this side as well. Seeing your handpainted model brings me back many years to my own childhood. I guess an airbrush is on top of your wish list this Christmas?
Cheers

What kind of paint are you using? It really seems too thin to brush paint.

NIce try matt!
A very bold move I must say with the camo stripes... but glad you gave it a shot to try it out..
Brush painting is quite a chore but some modelers paint very nice tanks with a paint brush... Get an airbrush when you think you're ready for it and you'll see the difference.

Beautiful job, I am kind of excited to see one of those dragon kits built. How was it? I have the same one and am always on the lookout for pointers and such.
Good build!

it was quite an easy build and it was my first go at indervival tracks and i got both side of tracks made and painted in about a week.the only thing that was different for me was the colour instrutions. were would a nazi flag go on a tank-i was thinking putting on top of the grills or on my tiger 1 somewhere.

Nice work Matt - the King Tiger is a fine looking tank.
The flags were carried for air recognition to prevent 'blue on blue', and so would obviously need to be easily visible from above - on top of the engine grilles or front top of the turret would work well. That said, by the time the KT was in service there wasn't much of a Luftwaffe left to have a blue on blue incident with, so I'd maybe put one on the T1 but not the T2.
I believe that's also where the ambush camo scheme came from, at least in part - to provide concealment from Allied air.

Hi Matt ...Nice job on your KT ....If I were you I wouldn't put it in the same dio as the Americans because the 505 th (charging knight decal) only fought on the Russian front . As for the flag I wouldn't do that either as by the time the KT arrived the Germans no longer had control of the air and would not want to show off their position to maurauding Stormoviks.
Good job ..

Very few Tiger I's in the Battle of the Bulge there were a few in the 506th 4th company these were different types even some Hybrids (early models with new steel wheels) but I can say I've never seen a picture of any vehicles with the flags during the BoB but...anything is possible ... Last time the flags were seen in large numbers was at Kursk...
