i have the dragon 251/21 drilling, but there are only 2 versions that they show on the instructions,425 has a brown ,green camo and 243 is just a dark yellow colour.what i carnt under stand is the unit symbols they supply as decals why is there no more colour options for this kit?
if dragon found these markings to be the 251/21 why have they not give you more colour schemes
i have searched all over the web for pictures and not found very much.
any help will be greatly appreciated!!
many thanks karl

Karl, The unit and tactical symbols that Dragon include with the kit, they might have found through their research were actually asigned to Drillings, but that doesn't mean that they actually found pictures showing camouflage schemes etc.
I've just awoke, My eyes are only half open at the moment :-) , but I'll check up and see what I can find.

Karl, I can find a white over dark yellow, from the 288th Flak Abteilung (Heer), 5th Panzer Division, Eastern Front, Eastern Prussia, 1945.
Also there is a Green striped over dark yellow, from the Flak Abteilung of Panzer Division "Fedherrnhalle", Eastern Front, Hungary, 1945.
I aslo have a colour plate of one captured by the 87th Infantry, early '45, but shows no markings.
I guess you will either have to go with a guesstimate of what camouflage a particular division's 251's would have carried, or go with one of the Dragon's options?

I know the LAH had some Drillings on their strength, and i seem to remember reading a post on ML that said it was in the normal three colour camo scheme....also on the Discovery Channel ,in one of the Battlefield progrmas, on the battle for Berlin, i remember seeing a couple of Drillings that looked like they were over all green with yellow camo on top......although they appeared incredible dirty, so it could have been a dark yellow base coat. Although this is in the latter stages of the war so really it could ber anything
