A friend of mine and I did the greater Toronto tour on Saturday, and I found an excellent new book for you German armour lovers....

SS Armor on the Eastern Front 1943-1945 by Velimir Vuksic, published by J.J. Fedorowitz Publishing, Inc.

Most of the photographs are new to the public and are taken from the National Museum of Contemporary History in Slovenia. It is a phenominal source of info, large 23cm by 31cm hard cover with 296 high grade glossy pages, 8 maps, 403 B&W photos and 16 pages of mind blowingly beautiful colour profiles.

The chapters are divided as following,
Zhitomir - Berdichew, Dec '43 - Jan '44
The Cherkassy Pocket, Feb '44
Tarnopol - Kamenets/Podolsk, Apr '44
Breakthrough to Kovel, Mar - Apr '44
Warsaw, July to Aug '44
Budapest- Operation Fonrad, Jan '45

The photos are large, clear and focused. Mostly are of Kampfgruppe units (mixed inf-armour). If you like your Panthers, your Stugs, your support vehicles and your late Russian armour, then you will love this book.

Highly recommended from this guy!!

Cost out of my pocket - $90.00 CDN

Frank

P.S. the new Eduard 35th full interior Hetzer is being drooled over on my couch, that too looks sweet!!
