Im using tamiyas universal carrier mk.II and i thoughyt of building it as the 3rd armour division but i am wodnering if it still mounts the bren. ive seen canadian carriers without the bren, with a vickers, but no bren in sight.
With or without Bren?

The LSR also used .50 cals as well.Not sure what Div. they belong to.

either or were used on the Canadian carriers so you can't go far wrong using either.

It depends upon the role the Carrier is being used for. Those with Vickers MMGs were usually part of a Support Regiment's MG companies. The South Sask. Reg't were a Support Reg't and were equipped with Universal Carriers fitted as MMG Carriers. Carriers in Infantry regiment Carrier Platoons were generic Carriers fitted with Brens and, frequently, 2" mortars. The Mortar platoons of a regiment would be equipped with Universal Carriers stowed as Mortar Carriers and carying the standard Brit 3" mortar and base plate.
The multitude of roles built on the same vehicle are why it was named the _Universal_ Carrier.
