Its given me a headache.
if i built the whole kit up then paint it,i carnt install the compressor motor that runs the fuel to the flame throwers,as it has lots of pipes on it and it wont fit in the hull.so my guess is to paint the side walls first, paint motor then add the side walls.but as you know it will be harder to glue to gether due to the paint.any ideas

many thanks from a frustrated modeller :-)

hhmm unless i paint the motor the same colour as the interior, which may look a bit odd.

When I build mine,I am planning on having to do large interior panel painting before assembly. This will make it a bit easier to add sub assemblies such as the pump, after it has been painted out of the vehicle.
As I was building my many -250 series 1/2 tracks, that was the route I wound up taking. (++) (++)

I built it just after reading the article. I followed Teacher's walkthrough and did the interior first. I don't think I saw this in the article...but I did have a fit problem with the compressor when I tried to add the superstructure, so I had to do some minor sanding to the compressor in non-visible areas to eventually get it to fit...although it does still lean a little bit to one side!

I am mostly done with the building process now, and I am going to paint the inside before I glue the sides and top up, as in Teacher's build article. I too am having a little trouble with the sides, but nothing that minor gap filling and sanding can't take care of
