what is your prefered type of paint? enamel/acryic???

I sometimes airbrush but mostly I will spray bomb the the base color and then airbrush the rest. I mostly use enamels.

For spray enamels I reccomend Testor's "Africa Mustard." In my opinion I think it is just right, minus weathering. For airbrush enamels I like Testor's Model Master line in "Afrika Grunbraun '41" I usually add a bit of flat white to make it look as if it has been in the sun for a while. Hope that helps!
