Anybody have a source of how to make miltary colours with oils? E.G., olive drab etc

Craig "Mongo Mel" Whitaker has a couple excellent articles on this site -- look under "Features" and "Figures."
BTW, Olive Drab is fairly easy to mix: Ivory Black and Naples Yellow.

Hey Godfather,i bow and kiss your hand...with great respect...try sap green,yellow ochre,and burnt sienna,with yellow to bring it up,just mix and practice,i am in the middle of painting two figs, British Commando,and GI in the Ardenne,will let you know when done.

Look at the recent feature on using Acrylics as a base and oils to shade, etc. It has a good primer on OD green too...
