This is a vehicle that has intriqued me for as long as I have been building models and so have always wanted to build one, this cat is entirely scratchbuilt with homemade brass tracks. There is an engine inside only because it was an integrel part to the buildup of the chassis.
It`s not a frontline vehicle but as I understand in reading about certain operators, many of them found themselves at the front clearing the way!
Enjoy, this one is one of my favourites.

totally amazing!
I like the whole atmosphere.
One question, why does the vehicle have spare tracks from a panzer 4 or 3 or what ever ???

Canadians weren`t too particular in what they hung on the sides of their vehicles,if it provided a little added protection it was good enough to hang or weld on!

very nice,i like these vehicles too.will surely build one some day.
read an article about a kit which looks a lot like this one in military modelling magazine a while ago,but the price of the kit was like 200 dollars all the kits available on this subject are very pricey because most of them are in resin i believe.but someday i hope too build one just as nice as you did[i hope]

Thats a brilliant model! Great job. I guess what really amazes me is the dust and crushed stuff on the top of the tracks! Great job!

Great dio SAS!
Beautiful vehicle. Excellent setting too. The guy looks so lonely. :-) I feel bad for the poor guy assigned to this task.

Looks really good. One thing though, a real easy fix. The chain at the back looks too much like the jewelry chain it is (been there, done that). Replacing it with one made of oval or round links would make this look even better.

I just thought the chain had too much slack in it for normal ops.Is that an entry hatch/door on the right side?Really nice looking dio.Tracks came out great.Be proud of this one.
cheers!

Hi AJ,yep your right it does look like a jewelry chain,it`s all I had to use and really after I got this thing done I really didn`t feel like scratching one, lol! I was born with that strange Canadian humour thing so I named my dozer " just cleanin up " ! Entry into the vehicle as far as I know is up the side ladder and into the top,now wheather certain operators hinged the top cover or not I left to this operators preference and hinged it.
Thanks everyone!
