I am looking for a Aluminum barrel for 7.5cm Anti-Tank Gun PaK 40.
I found a Italeri 1/35 German RSO With PAK-40.
Could I use a Eduard barrel and modify it??
Or should I get the DML kit number 6249 and use that kit for the gun???
I have a small bench lathe.
Any help would be great.

Hi Kerry,
you could easily use an Eduard barrel and modify it, you mention you have a lathe, if you can use it to make your own barrels then even better as it's work you've done yourself. Otherwise go with what's easiest and available to you.
Best of luck whatever you chose.
Kenny.

Squadron shop carries CMK which seems to have a huge selection of barrels for most World War 2 era kits. They usually run under $10 a pop. You might want to check them out . One of the Chinese companies (Hobbyeasy or Luckymodels) carries a good selection. Prices are cheaper on most of the barrels and shipping for something small is surprizingly cheap as they charge by weight. Look around, you may find the exact perfect part that requires no modification.

Kerry, I would say if money is not an object, go for either the Dragon or AFV Club Pak40. They are both immeasurably better than the old Italaeri gun (or the Tamiya effort come to that), & come complete with ali barrels in the kits.

Thank you to all.
I am thinking of getting a better Pak-40 kit.
I just looked at the ABER barrels and there PE upgrades, kit numbers 35049,35050,35051. The 35051 Platfrom kit seams like a very good way to show more detail. I can not wait for my kit to get here.
