Russ, great dio! I have to wonder why you've posted it here though? Since it was originally an On Display feature back in January?

Great work. Like the vehicles and the "noisy" expression the dio gives.

Good work

The dio looks great. love the weathering. and the congestion looks just like a true military function!

The one way that I have found to showcase vehicles specially softskins is to portray them in a precombat or post combat situation. I spent many an hour watching convoys of tanks and softskins rumbling through city centres in Germany and the noise and congestion was very exciting, this is a source of inspiration for some of my work, of course memories of Army Days at Camp Gagetown also helps. Thanks guys for the comments.

quite an amazing dio.... i like the 'busy-ness' of the overall scene... well done!

however, on the other side, a too busy scene can lost its 'focus point' i.e. a part of the dio that stands out from the overall scene.

if i may suggest: since all of your figs are on the ground level, try putting one on a higher platform such as the chevy truck roof scanning the area with binos, or gesturing at his comrades below.

...didn't mean to be over-criticising... that is truly an excellent dio!

Building a diorama has neverending ideas, you could go on and on adding stuff and yes I could have placed
figures in higher places for contrast but there is something you should know about me and that is that I hate doing figures,so after doing this many I called it quits for this dio, lol!!

Russ,

Great dio! I recognise the Tamiya Dingo, but who are the trucks by? Are these converted Tamiya Quads?

Love the Allied stuff!!

Hi Tarok, the trucks are one 15cwt from Italeri, one 15cwt from Tamiya converted fron the Quad tractor and one c60x converted from an Italeri 15cwt. If you come across my "Somewhere in Europe" you`ll find a couple more converted and scratchbuilt trucks and a Canadian Lynx ac,also scratchbuilt.
