Hi John ...well you're gonna have to help us out a bit more than that ..What tiger are you building ...where and what unit ...Initial tigers were gray others were the same sand color base as your halftrack and some had just the green camo or three color camo which would mean you need to pick up a redbrown color . Each division was different so let me know and I'll see if I can help you out .
all the best

the halftrack is a Sd.Kfz. 251/7 Ausf d and have to decided to go with the command version by dragon as well, have settled the camo scheme on this one, RLM sandy brown and green just dont know wat colours are closest to these in the tamiya spray can range

If you want truly accurate colors. you're going to have to graduate beyonfd Tamiya. Maybe their cans are better than their bottles, but the bottles are matched to nothing other than imagination.
I have (or had) a bottle of RLM sandy brown from another company but matched the the RLM standard. It's a far cry from rotbrun unless that were to have been severly thinned out, and then you'd have to have very light applications to justify this.
As to patterns, there was no standard, as there was with the US MERDC patterns. Each tank was supplied with a tinof rotbrun and one of dunkelgrun. The tank commander or the crew would decide on the pattern to best suit the terrain. You could have a one, two or three color tank The proportions and patterns were at the discretion of the crew. The depth of color was determined by the amount of thinning agent and method of application.
If you're going to get seriously into German armor, you might want to invest at least in the Squadron Panzer Colors I, II and III. While not always 100% accurate, they will give you a good guideline as the the types of schemes used on the various vehicles the Germans used.

Those are fine Ju88. Remember that RLM was used for the airforce while RAL was the Heer designation.
